The Voting Academy Says
“I’ve found that, often when visiting a city, one place that exemplifies the local culture, food and art is within the city’s public market. Locally, Logan Street Market has started to curate all the things we love about Louisville, and hosts events with community partners like the Louisville Orchestra and the Ali Center.”

We asked Logan Street Market to share something that says something essential about them…

“This is a Friend of Shelby Park award, given to us by Chip Rogalinski when he was the president of the Shelby Park Association. We first met with Chip in 2017 to get local feedback about the potential conversion of a warehouse into a public market, and the impact that could have on the neighborhood. He was thrilled about the project and shared that, when trying to attract other businesses to the neighborhood, someone had told him, ‘Shelby Park will never be a destination.’ After opening Logan Street Market in October 2019, Chip gave us the award, with shared hugs and tears. One of the best moments of our lives.”
